How to install Skype on Ubuntu Linux

Wondering on how to install Skype on Ubuntu Linux? Here are the quick step and tips on how to do it.

1. Download the Skype package for Linux from the Skype website and choose arch type of your system. You can download either the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version depending on the arch type of the Ubuntu Linux you used. In my case, I've downloaded the 64bit as I am using Ubuntu 10.4 64-bit version.

2. Save and open the Skype package. Run the installer and install the Skype for Ubuntu Linux package.

Click install package button

Open Skype after the installation is finished.
